Ayrshire Golf Tourism Marketing Group Launched
As some of you may already be aware Scotland's West Coast Golf Links was officially launched at VisitScotland Expo in Glasgow late last month by Minister Jim Mather.
Scotland's West Coast Golf Links brings together for the very first time ten of Ayrshire's Links golf courses with the specific aim of bringing more visitors to Ayrshire and encouraging them to stay longer - to do this requires partnership with the travel trade and the accommodation providers in the area.
The group have already launched their new website and Blog with a host of features that the travel trade and accommodation providers can utilise along with a range of printed materials aimed at raising the profile of the area.
Scotland's West Coast Golf Links see collaboration as the only way forward for Ayrshire's golf tourism industry and to this end have created an affiliate scheme in a bid to develop strong business relationships for the longer term.
The affiliate scheme is open to all accommodation providers in Ayrshire along with travel trade - tour operators, travel providers - as well as providers of food and drink and visitor attractions and for a small fee, the group will provide the following:-
- Online Marketing
- A fully content managed web section with multiple sections
- Access to uploading specific offers and events
- Full optimisation of website page
- Own web page featured listing
- £50 Upgrade to dedicated offers page on the site
- Regular e-newsletter features
- Access to posting on the Blog
- Access to exhibition and event databases through mailings
- Opportunity of joint marketing opportunities at shows, events and advertising
- Optional online reservations for accommodation providers
- Exclusive market and product opportunities throughout the year.
- Free web support seminar in July 2009
